Numerous festivals take place in all four countries around Lake Constance. With its varied music and entertainment program, the festivities are a special experience for the whole family. Starting with traditional street festivals in a wide variety of designs, through the promenade, village, city, harbor and lake festivals, to numerous wine festivals.

CELEBRATIONS AT LAKE CONSTANCE


Carnival characterizes Lake Constance from November to February with carnival parades, broomsticks, folk theater performances and boozy celebrations on a small and large scale with unusual masks and special customs.

CULTURE AT LAKE CONSTANCE


The Basilica of Birnau towers only a few kilometers from us above the lake and not only offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains, but also many concerts and services in this extraordinary ambience baroque jewel.

The Altbodman ruins are located on a hilltop of the Bodanrück in front of our front door.


In the middle of the Hegau – a landscape shaped by old, extinct volcanoes – the impressive Hohentwiel fortress ruins stand on a prominent mountain peak above Singen.

With its nine hectares, it is one of the largest fortress ruins in Germany, which offers a varied concert program in summer.


Salem Castle and Monastery invite you to take a trip into bygone times at any time of the year, but in summer they also offer a series of concerts with international stars in their park.

We are lucky in Bodman Ludwigshafen that Peter Lenk and Miriam Lenk produce their works of art right on our doorstep and many of their works can be viewed in Bodman and Ludwigshafen. Works by the artist Jeanet Hönig hang in our house and there are a large number of galleries and special exhibitions in the towns around the lake.

PROVOCANT ART AND NAKED

TRUTHS AT LAKE CONSTANCE

Peter Lenk's sculptures invite you to deal with his unerring provocations.


Nobody can get past his works without emotion. The result is recognition, enthusiasm, gallows humor, sometimes fervent rejection and criticism.


Since the summer of 2016, the sculpture "Yolanda" by the artist Miriam Lenk has adorned the shore area in Ludwigshafen.

With Yolanda, the artist focuses on femininity and thus also questions current ideals of beauty.


The art at Lake Constance has been enriched by the sculptors who live in Bodman and it is impossible to imagine life without it.

RELAX ON LAKE CONSTANCE

Relax in the Meersburg Therme, which is flanked by a torrent and whose pools are equipped with floor jets, massage jets and whirlpool seats. Let yourself be massaged by a rushing cascade that springs from an impressive rock face. Both the indoor pools and the outdoor pools are at least 34°C and blessed with a breathtaking view of Lake Constance.

The Bodensee-Therme Überlingen also has a huge sauna world which is ideally complemented by a sauna garden on the lake shore. The sports pool, the tire slide and the parent-child area guarantee fun for young and old.
